FreePower for Countertop is a groundbreaking wireless charging solution that turns any surface into a wireless charger. It can be seamlessly embedded into stone and other countertop materials, turning everyday spaces into extraordinary experiences.

FreePower is embedded into the stone itself, maintaining a smooth and uninterrupted countertop. The technology operates within the global standard for wireless power (Qi), making it completely safe to use. Once installed, FreePower countertops feature charging zones that are demarcated by an LED charging halo that is projected through the stone and onto the surface. The halo can be controlled by an app to customize the color and brightness. Each charging zone can accommodate up to three Qi-enabled devices at once, including smartphones and earbuds from brands like Apple, Samsung, and Google. 

FreePower for Countertop is set apart by its ability to seamlessly integrate into stone countertops, providing a sleek and uninterrupted design with fast wireless charging capabilities. Unlike other wireless chargers, which feature a small active area that requires precise alignment, FreePower allows for total freedom of placement: users can simply drop their devices and they'll pick up a charge. It is also nearly imperceptible within the space, visible only via the (optional) glow of its proprietary charging halo, which outlines the charging zone.

FreePower is already live at 36 Below, an upscale bar in Phoenix, AZ. Best known for their inventive cocktails served in crafty glassware, every bartop seat at 36 Below is equipped with its own FreePower charging surface. Initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and almost every guest uses their personal surface for the entire duration of their stay.

FreePower can be embedded into a wide range of natural and engineered stone surfaces with an emphasis on quartz. We offer white-glove support to help designers and countertop fabricators choose materials that align with FreePower’s requirements, guaranteeing seamless integration and maximum functionality. We have also created a comprehensive database, the FreePower Translucency Database, containing information on different stone brands and colors, along with translucency ratings for a better understanding of product compatibility.

FreePower will become available via our network of distributors and certified fabricators throughout the year. We have already started the certification process with fabricators and distributors nationwide. We provide white glove support for architects and engineers, verifying their designs to ensure proper unit and outlet placement for any project, as well as the suggested number of units and placement guidelines for reference. Qi (pronounced “chee”) is the global wireless charging standard adopted by Apple, Samsung, Google, and most other major consumer electronics brands. Qi helps ensure that devices from companies all over the world are compatible with the same wireless charging protocols. FreePower fundamentally operates under Qi, making it globally compatible, but has many improvements making it far more advanced which is reflected in its 230+ patent assets. Ki is a new wireless power standard from the same consortium that developed Qi, intended for high-power kitchen appliances like blenders. Ki is not intended for accessories like smartphones, making it a different category of product from Qi and therefore FreePower.
